Characteristics of the dust chamber of volume 1 m3

  • dimensions of the chamber workspace: (1000×1000×1000) mm,
  • the ability to perform tests at ambient temperature and at elevated temperature (up to 100°C),
  • the ability to perform tests at negative pressure,
  • access opening with a diameter of 80 mm, enabling the routing of power cables and vacuum hoses to test objects inside the chamber,
  • possibility of coupling the chamber with an external drive system, e.g. in the case of testing alternators.

Water resistance test chambers – IP tests (resistance to water)

Testing performed

  • resistance to dripping water (IPX1, IPX2)
  • resistance to rain (IPX3, IPX4) using a tube with oscillating movement,
  • resistance to spurts of water (IPX5, IPX6, IPX6K),

Battery Emulator (250 kW)

This battery emulator, which is integrated into the transmission test stand, enables testing to be carried out on complete electric drive axles (engine, gearbox, inverter, semi-axles) and hybrid transmissions with transverse engine mounting, including under simulated operating conditions (simulation of the vehicle and its battery, as well as the road and the driver).

PEMS – Portable Emissions Measurement Systems for RDE testing

This system is designed to measure emissions from all types of on-road vehicles (light duty and heavy duty) under real driving conditions, as well as from non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) during its actual operation.
BOSMAL has at its disposal 3 portable exhaust measurement systems made by the well-known global suppliers AVL and HORIBA. PEMS systems measure gaseous components and particle number (PN23 & PN10).
