As part of the implementation of the policy of a socially responsible organization, the Institute supports the development of its employees and Bielsko-Biała’s and the surrounding areas’ citizens.
As part of the activities carried out, BOSMAL supports:
- Beskidzkie Stowarzyszenie Brydża Sportowego,
- BOSMAL Football Team,
- Festiwalu Nauki i Sztuki (ATH),
- the hiring of a gym hall for BOSMAL’s employees,
- the Song and Dance Group “Beskid”,
- We co-financed the purchase of blankets for the social rooms of employees of the Bielsko Rescue Service, branch in Czechowice-Dziedzice
- We supported the Nursing Home of the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Charity in Bielsko-Biała
- We financially supported the activities of Stowarzyszenie Wspierania Bielskiej Onkologii
- We financially supported Teatr za Jeden Uśmiech
Moreover, the Institute supports cooperation between companies and trade schools, technical schools, institutes of technology as well as universities.
- participation in the Azimuth Health study
- cooperation and support of students of the Poznań University of Technology in the construction of the second Formula Student electric car of the PUT Motorsport Team (Racing Team Partner Certificate)
- allowing students of ZSSIO in Bielsko-Biała to visit the exhibition, of models and prototypes made by BOSMAL.
- Support for the WUT Racing Scientific Circle of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. BOSMAL made a research stand available for students, to let them calibrate their Formula Student bolid engine (here you can find: (a commemorative photo and thanks).
- Support for vocational education, including ZSEEiM in Bielsko-Biała, by sponsoring the Regional Olympiads of Technical Innovations and the Olympiad of Knowledge about Inventiveness.
SAQ 5.0 Certificate
In August 2024, BOSMAL successfully passed SAQ 5.0 certification obtaining a high rating of B81%.
SAQ 5.0 is a sustainability assessment questionnaire that covers topics such as: company management, human rights and working conditions, health and safety, business ethics, environment, responsible supply chain management and responsible sourcing of raw materials.
The questionnaire is assessed on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform (by NQC), a preferred provider of AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group), which verifies whether the supplier meets the multi-level requirements of global regulations.
EcoVadis certificate
In March 2024 BOSMAL has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis silver medal.
The EcoVadis audit, sustainability rating, includes among others: environmental protection, human rights, employee rights, occupational health and safety, compliance, management systems and supply chain management.
The silver medal places BOSMAL among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the past 12 months.
The overall score places BOSMAL in the top 7% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the Scientific research and development industry.
Open-es card
The Institute is already present on and is currently implementing the new Open-es audit platform https://www.openes.io
It is a platform dedicated to ESG assessment (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, the subject of i.a. human rights, human resources management, health and safety, environment, compliance, corporate governance, supply chain management).
The platform aims to involve companies in the process of measuring and continuous development from the perspective of sustainable development and to support them in the energy transformation.
We are pleased to announce that at the end of assessment for reference year 2022 BOSMAL has achieved Open-es level 6.
The current complete Open-es card is available on the platform. We will be undergoing assessment for reference year 2023.
